The German Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (Baua) committee has adopted seven technical rules on hazardous substances. These will govern:
the hazardous materials storage in portable tanks;
activities involving minerals that potentially contain asbestos, and derived preparations and products;
making formaldehyde as the room disinfectant, operating instructions and information to workers;
substitutes for solvent-containing surface treatment agents for wood and parquet flooring; and
occupational exposure and biological limits.
The full text of the technical rules will be published in the German Federal Gazette and online in January.
